AI-Generated Child Intimate Images Complicate Regulations 

As the ethical use of AI remains uncertain, to safeguard minors it is crucial to have more than written commitments and calls for stringent regulations. Japan continuous efforts to combat child exploitation through pornography are facing obstacles due to the proliferation of AI-generated images on domestic websites, experts warn. The law against child prostitution and pornography does not currently cover sexually explicit images generated by AI.
